Attributes
Appearance
He has short dusty blond hair with an ahoge, representing Nantucket, sticking up and blue eyes. He wears a tan uniform and a brown bomber jacket with a '50' on the back (for the fifty states). His glasses are said to represent the state of Texas. America is often shown holding a hamburger or a large-sized soft drink (usually a cola) and flashing a thumbs-up.

When America initially appeared in the webcomic, his hair was drawn smoother, parted in the center, and he had no ahoge. Eventually as the art style changed, Himaruya added in the strand and made America's hair slightly wilder. America also was shown to have his pants tucked into his boots in older designs, but more modern artwork depicts him wearing his pants over the boots.

Personality and Interests
America is a cheerful, energetic and somewhat conceited young man who is obsessed with heroes, justice, and freedom. He has the habit of sticking his nose into everyone's business, which causes him to have difficulty making friends. He loves hamburgers and junk food, to the point of an obsession, and can even eat strange and inedible things due to inheriting England's sense of taste (or lack thereof). America is also known for not being aware of how "the atmosphere" is when he is around others (which, at one point, he was told to read it), but it has been noted that it is not that he lacks the ability to "assess the situation", he simply chooses not to. On multiple occasions it has been shown that, when calm or serious, America can become very logical, reading further into things than he usually would, and actually reading the atmosphere. His profile states that his hobbies are sports, games, and making movies. Furthermore, in the side-story Black Ships Have Come, in introducing himself to Japan, he states that his hobbies are "quick-draw, archaeology, and adventures" (which is translated to Japan as America's hobby being lechery). He possesses an abnormal amount of strength, shown even as a child by easily swinging a full-grown buffalo around, and has been once seen running around dragging a heavy Rolls Royce, belonging to England, behind him for an hour in order to ask permission to borrow it. In the NotoSama 6 game, America was able to stop a car with the heel of his foot.

He is shown to be ignorant of the geography outside his own home, believing that maps of the United States constitute the "world map" and that he can simply get to other countries by car travel. He is shown becoming concerned about his weight in the strip Supersize You! and it is mentioned that he has invented strange diet machines as well as becoming obsessed with exercise (which has caused him to become paranoid about his rising weight, as he is unaware of his building muscle). Aside from being afraid of ghosts and weighing scales, he also fears Marmite. In Hetalia Fantasia 2 it is revealed that America has at least 238 weaknesses, one of those being Dora The Explorer. As America is obsessed with heroes and happy endings, he hopes that his future will be that way.

Though he is friends with an alien named Tony and his friends, he does not believe in England's magical friends, fairies, or unicorns, except on Halloween.

In the 2010 Christmas event, he said that he was jealous of all of the kids in his country that get presents from their fathers. This may be a reference to America's fast growth and young age, and how he missed out on a lot of childhood things by growing physically mature so quickly, as well as what seems to be the lack of parents for most of the nations (as opposed to elder siblings).

Relationships
Canada
Main Article: Canada

America's kind-hearted younger brother, who is frequently overshadowed by him and has even been mistaken for him more than once. America and the other nations also tend to forget that he exists, but there are times, such as in Episode 44, where Canada comes to talk to America, and America has no trouble recognizing him and seeing him. America also visits Canada's house on occasion and is seen to be the one Canada spends the most time with. They seem to have a healthy sibling relationship, despite Canada's passive aggressive resentment and America's cluelessness.

England/UK/Britain
Main Article: England

After America was discovered as a small child by Finland, England adopted and raised him like a younger brother, caring for him with adoration and teaching him how to be a nation. When the Revolutionary War came, America declared his independence and split from England, creating a huge rift between the two that still is present, if only less severe. As part of the Allied Forces, they manage to work together, although England often disagrees with the unusual ideas that America presents and America teases England about everything from his cooking, his style of dress, and his "old" age. They are shown to be always bickering but it is hinted the two truly care for one another.
Although they do argue on a regular basis, America tends to get upset when he and England don't patch things up. When England didn't give him chocolates for Valentine's Day, he sulked about it. He also grew concerned for England when he was sick and feigned glee at his "death", knowing it would shock him into waking up.

Finland
Main Article: Finland

Finland was shown to be the first one to discover America in Finland's Holiday Home; after mentioning it to him, Sweden decides to try to capture him, but they both end up being beat up by Holland. Finland also is the one who tells France and England about America. While the two argue over who the boy looks most like, Finland asks if America looks like him. There is a resemblance, but both France and England deny it.

There is not much more interaction between Finland and America, though in the 2010 Christmas Event, after listening to America express his jealousy for the children who receive presents from their fathers, Finland suggested that, since America shared his genes from the colonization days, America could think of him as his papa. America responded with "I might be able to if you looked older", to which Finland responded "I'll wear a beard!"

France
Main Article: France

As a baby, America was fought over by both France and England, with England becoming the winner. Despite him being England's rival, America holds no hate for France, likely because of his contributions to America's independence. Even though France always refers to himself as "onii-san" and treats America similar to a younger sibling, America has never referred to him as such. France has offered to feed America his food instead of England's cooking multiple times, once becoming very depressed when a young America stated that both France's and England's cooking were "sweet and tasty". In the strip America's Brewster F2A Buffalo France refuses to offer a depressed America a drink after he has a horrible day, stating that he is still a child.

After a lot of hard work on his part, France presented America with a dismembered Statue of Liberty, celebrating America's 100th year of official independence in The Story of The Statue of Liberty. In Independence Day, France's gift was a censored object along with champagne, to which America asked for such things not to be shown in public. When America went on a diet in Supersize You, he asked France for a suggestion, however, whatever was said was censored out; later in the Hetalia Fantasia 2 C.D., it seems that France had lied about a snack diet being a great way to lose weight. This revelation came after France stumbled into a dungeon area that he believed America had based off of the Palace of Versailles, and he became very emotional. He then goes on about how much he always knew America loved his culture and how grateful he is for it, but this is never verified by America himself.

Japan
Main Article: Japan

In Black Ships have Come, America rather forcefully convinces Japan to open up his borders, leaving him frustrated. Apparently the relationship gets better, since in Japan and The Footsteps of Westernization, America visits his house. He introduces "table turning" to Japan, asking what he would like to question the table about. Japan eventually ends up confiding that, while he is happy to be opening up his borders and meeting new people, he is fearful of not being able to get along with other countries. He then goes on to request that America ask if he will be able to make new friends, and America promptly makes the table shift once, exclaiming "That means the answer's yes!"

In modern-day strips, these two get along well. They share a love of technology and video games, and are frequently at each others' houses to play them together. Differences between the American and Japanese culture and lifestyle are often explored using these two, such as in Traits of Japanese People that America-Kuns Have Noticed, and Why Americans Love Spring.

Lithuania
Main Article: Lithuania

After falling into poverty due to WWI, Lithuania started to work for America as his housekeeper, finding himself a happy freedom in the process. When the Great Depression hit, Lithuania found himself having to return back home with Russia.

It seems like Lithuania actually cares for America since in Episode 29 he asks Russia about him, although a trembling Estonia interrupts to remind him that he can't talk to Russia about America. He also was one of the people who went to America's birthday party.

Appearances
Anime
America makes his first appearance at the beginning of Episode 01 where he announced his plan to stop global warming.

His childhood is spotlighted numerous times in the anime, including Episode 25 and Episode 39 and Episode 40, which tells of how France and England battled each other over his ownership.

In a minor difference from the manga design, the '50' was left off of America's jacket in the anime adaptation.

Trivia
*His birthday corresponds with the Independence Day of July 4th, 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was approved by the U.S. Continental Congress.
*Although commonly referred to as America, some merchandise refer to him by the full term United States Of America, or simply U.S. for short.
* In some fanart, he is often portrayed with a rabbit, as "U.S.A." can also be "usa" (a shortening of the word "usagi"), which means "bunny" in Japanese. The child version of America was also shown to have a bunny following him, when he first met the older nations.
*According to Himaruya, America's personality was based off of his teacher's. The same teacher is said to have a strong disinterest in world geography. Meanwhile, America's appearance is based off of that of a Canadian that Himaruya met when he went to America.
*Notes in the special edition booklet for Hetalia: Axis Powers volume 3 revealed that America was originally intended to be smarter and more cocky, but evolved into a louder heroic-wannabe type of character. Himaruya noted that in retrospect, the original character personality would have been harder to use.
*In a set of character notes, it is revealed that America has mingled a lot with Germanic blood, and that he was insecure for having no history of his own before England adopted him.
*In England, Dreaming About The Past, it was revealed by a sleeping England that America used to wet his bed when he was younger.
*It is a source of debate among fans as to whether it is America or Canada that is the older of the two brothers (with Hidekaz Himaruya having not confirmed a set age difference between the two). A common fanon assumption is that the two are twins, due to their similarities and the fact that Canada is easily mistaken for America (due to having the same face), though the two do not share the same day of birth. Supporters of the twin theory point out the nations' birthdays merely refer to their date of independence or unification, and that a "nation" may not have an official birthday in the same sense as humans.
*The number '50' on his jacket, representing the 50 states, is historically incorrect. Hawaii became a state on August 21, 1959 and Alaska became a state on January 3, 1959, both after the end of World War II, the time in which the story primarily takes place. This is most likely the reason the '50' is not present in the anime adaption.
South Italy (南イタリア, Minami Itaria), often referred to as Romano (ロマーノ, Romāno), is a supporting character in the series Hetalia: Axis Powers and the older brother of North Italy. In 2008, Himaruya gave human names to some of the characters and he received the name Lovino Vargas (ロヴィーノ・ヴァルガス, Rovīno Varugasu).

Attributes
Appearance
South Italy has dark brown hair and has more of an olive complexion than his younger brother in earlier artwork, but there is no visible skin tone difference in most later artwork. His eyes were originally green, but became colored hazel or dark brown in most of the later colored art.

Like his brother, he has a wild long curl that acts as his erogenous zone, though it rests on the right side of his head, as opposed to the left. In most artwork and merchandise, he is shown to wear a khaki uniform in a different style than Italy's (and more similar to Spain's), with 3/4-length sleeves. But in the published manga and anime, he instead wears a virtually identical uniform. In his very first appearance in the webcomic, South Italy's shirt and belt were colored white, but were later shaded in dark. The actual color of the uniform is unknown due to it only appearing in black-and-white art, though fanworks often depict it as being a lighter blue.

As a child, he did not usually wear a maid dress like his brother but simply the apron, as seen in early strips of Boss Spain's Control of Southern Italy. But in some strips like the ones in Comic Diary 9, he is depicted wearing a dress of an unknown color. Also, in Volume 3, Romano is shown to be wearing a maid's dress and apron much like his younger brother instead of his earlier outfit, which contradicts earlier strips.

A chibi image by Himaruya, as well as a figurine, also show that South Italy has a casual sailor outfit like Italy, but with the blue accents replaced by green.

Personality and Interests
South Italy is friendly and kind to women, but is strict and less social to men. Despite appearing to be tougher than his younger brother, he is just as cowardly and ineffectual, if not more. He's stubborn and has actually been described as being quite timid. Though he is not very skilled with his hands, it is said that he is a good pickpocket. He is also has a habit of speaking in profanity, particularly the words "bastard" and "dammit".

As a child, he often slacked off and slept when it came to chores, though he was rather clumsy when he actually tried to do them. In Comic Diary 10 and blog illustrations by Himaruya, as well as in the first part of Boss Spain's Control Of Southern Italy, it is revealed that the younger South Italy had a bed-wetting problem and often had trouble finding the toilet due to the vast size of Spain's mansion. In Hetalia: Axis Powers volume 1, it is also revealed that he had the disease Choreia as a child, and that it played a part in his clumsiness. Spain attempted to heal him by making him dance the Tarantella; South Italy appeared to recover from the disease, whether due to those efforts or not.

When using grenades, he seemingly has no clue of the correct way to throw them (throwing the pin rather than the actual grenade, a habit shared by his brother). In the strip In Two Minutes, You Can Grasp The Exterior Of The European Economy, it is shown that he is often controlled and led around by his own mafia. It is partially due to the influence of the mafia that his view of the world is more biased and bleak than Italy's.

While Italy eats a variety of foods other than pasta, South Italy refuses to eat foreign food, especially if it happens to be cheese or potatoes. He has the verbal tic of making a "Chigi" (or "Chigigi") sound when he is agitated or when his haircurl is pulled.

Relationships
Belgium
Main article: Belgium

As a child, South Italy had a crush on the older Belgium though he found himself unable to kiss her or tell her how he actually felt (though Belgium revealed she was only teasing him and felt bad for it). He also gets incredibly flustered and tongue-tied when Belgium praises him for his hard work, even getting flustered to the point of meekness and admitting he hadn't worked much at all. They seem to get along as adults.

Germany
Main Article: Germany

Unlike his brother, South Italy hates Germany and can't stand to see him and Italy together. He refers to Germany as a "potato bastard" and "macho potato".

South Italy had attempted to get revenge on a few occasions, but failed each time:

*Tried to charge at Germany, but slipped on a banana peel and skinned his arm (Italy's Big Brother, Webcomic)

*Pulled the pin off a "Red Devil" grenade, but threw the pin instead of the actual grenade, which he held in his mouth, much like Italy in a previous episode. (Italy's Big Brother).

*Threatened to throw tomatoes at Germany and "rip every muscle" off of his body, but wound up frightened by France (Meet My Big Brother!, Hetalia: Axis Powers volume 1).

*Attempted to embarrass Germany by holding up a fake mustache (to make him look like he was sporting one), but wound up making himself look like he wore mustache instead (Good Luck! Big Brother!, Hetalia: Axis Powers volume 1)

It is suggested that he might hate Germans in general, seeing that he thought one as a danger when he was a kid and got scolded by Spain because he believed the German would attack Spain. A line in Italy's Big Brother also reveals that his stereotype of Germans is that they're all "uncivilized country bumpkins with bad physiology". When Germany noted that Italy happened to have Germanic blood as well, it caused South Italy to go into a rage and attempt to charge at him (only for the above banana incident to occur).

Italy
Main Article: Italy

The two brothers grew up knowing of each other, but they never actually met face to face. Italy eventually went off to live with their grandfather for some time, while South Italy stayed behind. After Grandpa Rome had died and Italy came back, South Italy and the other boys became bullies to him. The two were separated again at the end of the Italian War, when Italy was claimed by the Holy Roman Empire and Austria, while South Italy was conquered by Spain after the Battle of Garigliano.

In the present day, the two brothers don't get along very well; South Italy occasionally refuses to acknowledge his brother's existence, though Italy is more than eager to be around his older brother. As a child, South Italy often felt jealous and inferior to Italy, due to the younger brother inheriting their grandfather's talent for art, while he could barely draw. He also felt that his brother took after their grandfather in appearance more. Despite this though, he's shown to have at least a subconscious care for him, becoming upset when his brother implies he doesn't admire him, and sharing a bed with him. Usually when it's hinted that he cares about Italy though, something happens that angers him and he instantly reverts back.

Japan
Main Article: Japan

Though they have to met only briefly in an earlier "strip" (in which they didn't actually interact beyond introductions and Japan's pondering of the brothers' curls, Himaruya has stated that they would both get along rather well and that Japan would refer to the other as "Romano-kun" (after initially "-san")

Spain
Main Article: Spain

Because Spain raised him, South Italy has assimilated his culture, customs, religion, and his love for tomatoes. While Spain often acts affectionately towards him, South Italy tends to treat him rather coldly because he believes that Spain just wants his grandfather's inheritance. Deep down, he does care about Spain, though he rarely shows it openly; he seems to become extremely jealous when Spain is with someone else. When Spain caught a cold, South Italy increases imports from Spain (despite having a cold himself) and overcomes his weakness to the Mafia (even though he usually bends to their will.)

In his youth, South Italy would often jump on Spain or headbutt him in the stomach to wake him up. This caused Spain to have a nightmare where an adult South Italy jumped on him and "crushed his vital regions."

Appearances
Anime
South Italy is first shown briefly in the Chibitalia segment of Episode 01 as a small child, and makes further non-speaking cameos in Episode 02 (where the brothers are bullied by the other nations) and Episode 04 (being stepped on by a victorious Austria). The adult South Italy finally appears in Episode 07, which adapts Meet My Big Brother! and Good Luck! Big Brother! from Axis Powers Hetalia volume 1.

His childhood is further detailed in Episodes 60-62, 67, 68 and Episode 75-77 which adapt Boss Spain's Control of Southern Italy. This shows the time from when Spain firsts aquires South Italy to where he begins fighting France and Turkey for him.

He is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa, who also voices Italy. Namikawa also initially voiced the child version of South Italy in the first episode, but the role was later recast for Hetalia: World Series, with Aki Kanada providing the voice (as she did for his brother).

In the anime adaptation (much like the later colored manga artwork), South Italy is given lighter skin, rather than being olive-skinned. Though he is depicted as wearing his pants over a short pair of boots in a character sketch for the manga, his anime turnaround instead shows him to have his pants tucked into a pair of tall boots (that look much like his brother's). His first military uniform is also colored khaki, with the shirt being maroon and the tie being navy.

Trivia
*Like his brother, South Italy's birthday falls on March 17th, which is the date that the "Kingdom Of Italy" was formed. He was also represented with the flag for the Kingdom in the original webcomic art, though the modern Italian one is now used for him. South Italy is confirmed to be the elder of the two; despite this, some fans continue to mistake them for twins.
*His full nation name, Italy Romano, is derived from Rome, the capital of Italy. In the actual strips, he is simply Romano, though South Italy is also used to differentiate him from his younger brother. Historically however, he would represent either kingdom of Sicily and Naples (which later became "The Kingdom Of The Two Sicilies"), which were part of Southern Italy and wound up under the control of Spain. Romano is an existent Italian male first name, derived from the Latin title "romanus" (which originally meant "a citizen of the Roman Empire", but now simply "native of Rome"). In addition, Romano can be seen as a pun on the phrase "Roma no", meaning "of Rome".
*South Italy is one of the Axis Powers during the second world war which would bring the total of Axis Powers in the story to four. This can be seen when he and North Italy were captured by England in episode 63.
*According to Hidekaz Himaruya, South Italy's hair is colored darker than Italy's due to having Arabic blood. Himaruya described him as having both "darker hair" and a "darker personality". But in a 2006 profile of Italy on Kitayume, South Italy briefly appeared in an illustration with black hair, as opposed to the dark brown hair Himaruya would settle on.
*One can tell North Italy and South Italy apart hair wise when South Italy has dark hair and his curl is in the middle of his hair and North Italy's hair is light brown and his curl is on the side of his hair.
The game takes place in an alternate universe that diverges from the canon Chibitalia (and unpublished Shotalia) storyline. In this setting, Italy is raised to become a magic-wielding priest.

It is unknown when or if the game will be completed, as the Committee disbanded and reformed with a new production team to come up with a new plan for it.

Summary (demo version)
Veneziano is the child loved by God. In his existence, he has been called the child of God and wields special power. He controls the mana which is the origin of all life. He can heal people if he chooses to, but he possesses the ability to destroy the world as well. The other child is Romano, deemed a charlatan and maverick. When two children have such a fate, the amount of power they hold will be enough to shake the world up.

The game starts out with the teenage priest known as Veneziano, who must train for seven days (in the full version, his training lasts a month). While training, he meets with Austria, who informs him that he'll be working as a manager for him.

After Veneziano trains some more, Austria brings the young knight known as Germany to him, and states that he'll be the priest's personal bodyguard. Veneziano and Germany get to know each other some more, though Germany feels that he cannot grant the other's wish to "see the outside world" due to having to protect him

Veneziano states that he's always admired the sky from inside his "cage", and that he has wanted to fly free to that sky, as the outside world looks wonderful.

The two boys try to escape outside, but are caught by Prussia and a few other soldiers. Prussia orders Germany to stand down, but Germany refuses, stating that Veneziano needs to be free. Prussia warns Germany that Veneziano is not an actual human, but a "Son of God" and a threat to the world. Germany doesn't believe Prussia, for he feels that they would just be killed if that was the case.

The demo ends with Germany narrating how he promised he would set the "Son of God" free, and that at that time, he didn't know anything more about Veneziano, believing him to be an ordinary boy...

Characters
In the planned full version of the game, there are two "routes" to play, with different characters that appear. Both routes are divided up into a part based on Chibitalia, and a part based off of Shotalia.

Holy Roman Empire Route
*Italy Veneziano: First appears in the AU version of Chibitalia. He is a young priest who has been learning white magic, and is considered to be a "Son of God" due to his powers. He longs to be free and explore the outside world. Veneziano is the grandson of the hero Rome whose whereabouts are currently unknown. When Veneziano was born, he and his brother Italy Romano were blessed with great power by the gods as a reward for Rome's heroic deeds.

*Holy Roman Empire/Germany: The lowest of the German knights, HRE (also known as "Germany") becomes the bodyguard to Veneziano and aids him in his quest. He first appears in the AU Shotalia segment.

*Austria: Veneziano's mentor, who graduated from a Shinto priest school and who now works for the Vatican. He has a variety of taste in music, but loves the piano.

*Greece: A young man who can channel the magic of his ancient tribes, though he is not very strong with it. He first appears in the Shotalia section, though he does not appear in the demo.

Spain Route
*Italy Romano: Veneziano's older brother. Because his power source relies on the souls of the dead, he is scorned and considered a "half-breed" and a "heretical child". When Romano was born, he and his brother Italy Veneziano were blessed with great power by the gods as a reward for Rome's heroic deeds.

*Spain: Romano's mentor, who raised him at the request of Austria. He's the leader of an armament merchant ship.

Other Characters (Shotalia part)
*England: A man who is half-elf, and who worries about his half-breed condition. He promised the king of Britannia loyalty a long time ago.

*France: A paladin belonging to the royal palace. He can be a sensible person as long as his mind is off of "obscene" things, though he cannot forget the memory of a certain subordinate who was killed in war.

*Japan: He lives in a faraway eastern land, said to be like Shangri-La. Though he appears to be a child, his personality and speech are like that of an old man's. He has the power to summon Shikigami.

*Russia: An assassin and man of mystery, who strictly adheres to his God.

*Hungary: A daughter of the chief of the Danube tribe, Hungary hates the knights and the religious groups who plunder the land. Though she looks very elegant, she has a fierce style of fighting.

*Poland: A leader of a resistance group, who is somewhat ignorant of the world.

*Switzerland: A young miserly lord who rules the Alps.

*China: The leader of a village in the Far East, who appears younger than he actually is.

*Korea: A sibling of both China and Japan, who also looks quite young. But he is very skilled at the technique of magic.

*Prussia: Appears briefly in the demo version of the game. He is one of the few who knows of Veneziano's true status, and warns HRE/Germany not to get involved in trying to "free" him.

Voice Cast
Note: Most of the voice actors use single-name aliases, and they do not appear in the demo (only in the cast on the official site). Further information on them is currently unknown.

*Veneziano: Kyo
*Holy Roman Empire, Romano: Shitsuki
*Austria: Matoi
*Spain: Kakeru
*Greece: Akane
*Poland: Toru Ogawa
*Switzerland: Murasaki

Trivia
*Hidekaz Himaruya was a fan of the demo, and drew a sketch of both the Italy brothers and the older HRE (outright referred to as "Germany" in the game) to commemorate it. A common misconception is that it was created for the actual (and currently-unpublished) Shotalia storyline.

*This game subscribes to the long-held belief that Holy Roman Empire and Germany are the same character, although there appears to be no instance of memory loss or apparent death involved in this alternate universe.
Attributes
Appearance
She has short blonde hair (which she keeps held back with a blue or green headband and clips), blue eyes, and wears a long-sleeved white blouse and blue overalls. Her most notable physical feature, however, is her large breast size, representing Ukraine's status as a major agricultural nation ("large tracts of land"). She can also be seen carrying a pitchfork at times.

In a sketch by Hidekaz Himaruya, she is shown to wear a long brown coat, pants, boots, and hat as her military uniform.

Personality and Interests
Ukraine is the oldest of the three siblings and is constantly getting dragged into some sort of mess. She is described by her brother as being very warm-hearted and motherly, having taken care of him and Belarus when they were little. He also notes that she's a bit of a cry-baby, yet with a big heart. She apparently has chest and back pains due to her assets. She was the one who gave Russia his scarf, which he continues to wear today.

It is later stated in her volume 4 profile that despite her cry-baby appearance, she is also a 'fearsome' older sister and can stand her ground.

Relationships
Russia
Main Article: Russia

Ukraine is Russia's older sister, and acted as a mother to both him and Belarus when they were younger. She was the one who gave him his scarf. Though she wishes to be with him again, she either winds up running away at the chance due to the issues that arisen between them (such as paying for gas), or due to being blocked from seeing him in some way (such as her boss prohibiting her from giving him anything). In his own way, Russia does still care about her. In her and Belarus' character song, she is hinted to have a crush on him like Belarus, though not to the same degree as her sister, or perhaps more subdued.
However, she apologizes for being a "bewitching older sister", implying she'd like Belarus to be happy, too, even at the cost of losing Russia, although she seems to apologize over things she can't be blamed for, and this may also be a display of that. In the episode, she is unable to come up with payment for gas due to her poverty situation, and is later forbidden from sharing milk with her brother by her boss because of the gas conflict.
She wears a different hairstyle as a child in Episode 43
In the anime adaptation, her headband was changed to yellow while her hair became more of a platinum shade. Sound effects were also added to her movement for further elaboration on her large breast size.
